ntl broad band

hi

I am using my ntl home broadband cable modem via network cable with my new
laptop (windows xp home). unfortunately, if I try to install the ntl
software, it reports error 20, which says that I am not the administrator of
the computer, although I am. What do I have to do. is there a way without
the software?

If you mean that you are trying to register go here and circumvent the cr4p
ntl software https://autoreg.autoregister.net/start.html

for stand-alone cable modem users, the serial number is ntl-ct8-cj486.

The correct answer is don't, there is nothing on that CD which will do you
any good & it's contents have been know to make grown men cry.
