ntbackup disables RRAS?

I've got a server running 2003R2. Every evening it runs a ntbackup session,
and when it's running an attempt to establish a VPN with a remote client
is met with a "invalid username/password" error. Is this a known issue, or
is it coincidental and I really have another problem?
