Are the browmon and browstat utilities from the NT 4 Server Resource Kit
still applicable to trouble-shooting browsing problems with a W2K3 workgroup
server?

Are their later versions of these utilities for W2K or W2K3? Or have they
been completely superceded by different troubleshooting tools?

The trouble-shooting articles all seem to discuss using browmon/browstat,
and I haven't yet found an article that discusses any later techniques.

It's almost as if with W2K3, there's no longer an issue with browsing...
which from first-hand experience I can definately state is not true, at least
in workgroup mode.

Thanks,

David

Yes, they are still required. And yes, you should find browstat in the
support tools on both W2k and W2k3 server CDs. The computer browser service
is still essentially the same as it was in NT4 SP5.
