Is Eclipse anygood as I've just give them my mac

Because the last few months have been hell ...

Originally I was a

Plusnet user,
moved to Freedom2surf when plusnet went tits up,
then pipex bought them out
then moved onto metronet Until plusnet killed them....

Its just not my month all this in the space of only 2 months !

I just hope they leave Eclipse alone.

normally good, outage last week was a pain in the arse but sorted now.

Nothing is perfect and we rarely see problems at Eclipse, any issues
I've had lately were BT related. Kingston (the owners) might be the
target of a buyout however, but nothing concrete on that so far. The
speculation on that has been that Kingston could be bought by a venture
capital outfit rather than another supplier.

No caps or traffic shaping on the Flex products anyway. I've always
found support to be efficient.

As others have indicated in this group it's probably only a matter of time
before Eclipse is swallowed up by some uncaring conglomerate. I wouldn't
migrate anywhere until you actually perceive Metronet's performance doesn't
fulfil your needs.

What have they done to Metronet apart from buying them?

How have the "killed" Metronet?

Wait and see, rather than just jumping as soon as the buyout is
announced.

So what, *exactly*, do you think was wrong with my suggestion?

And why?

pussnet have already made it obvious they will be fucking up metronet by
either turning it into a pussnet clone or transferring all the poor sods
using metronet onto their service. Either option is not to the
advantage of any current metronet user.
Staying with a service that's going to go down the shitter only provides
pussnet with more dosh to do the same to another isp. The more people
who fuck off asap, the less chance pussnet will be able to borrow money
to swallow up another isp.

Knowing how much you enjoy being kicked in the knackers by isps, I know
you'll have problems with understanding what I, and many others, have
worked out. We also know pussnet is heading for a fall. Paying out huge
amounts of dosh for only 16,000 users isn't exactly clever, when pussnet
claim to be getting new customers at 5,000 a month. A lot of things
don't add up.
Never mind - you can play the trumpet whilst the sensible have left on
the lifeboats.
