Notebook adapter recommendations?

I just purchased a Lynksys WRT54G router and a WPC54G adapter! The router
installed effortlessly and is working fine, but I've struggled with the
adapter for over a week and can't get it to work (Exception errors, Runtime
errors, faulty installattion script, where I had to manually tell it where
to look for missing .dll files, etc.), so I'm sending it back! Any
recommendations for an adapter that will work well on my older WinMe laptop
and talk to my Linksys router without problems?

The Motorola WN825G is by far my top choice. It installs and works
well on all versions of Windows. It even has built-in support for WPA
encryption on Windows 95/98/Me.

In my area, it's available at Target, Radio Shack, and CompUSA stores.

I've generally had good luck with D-Link, Netgear, and Belkin, too.

I would go either with a Netgear, or a D-Link device. I have no preference
between the two; just basing on my good experience with a Netgear router on
my LAN, and a D-Link router plus D-Link WAP on a friend's network.

Well Steve, Norman, I guess it wasn't the adapter after all, it was a
corrupted OS! I purchased the Motorola as you suggested Steve, but it had
install problems too, so I decided to upgrade to XP; well I couldn't do that
either, missing files again! So finally, I got out my Dell recovery disk,
formatted my drive and reinstalled Win'98. The Motorola adapter then
installed okay, and my laptop is wireless, Yaaay, finally! Now maybe I can
do the XP upgrade too!
