I'm not an expert but I have had the same problem for a couple of weeks now.
If I "repair" the connection it recovers for a short time. My interim
solution is rapidly to select an internet radio program to listen to. While
there is a data stream the connection holds good.

proposed solutions seem to work for me.

The low signal strength issue/ interference by 2.4GHz domestic appliances/
locking on to named SSID's etc, are all total copouts. It is not a wireless
problem, but one involving loss of contact information between the router and
the ISP.
This must tell the experts something and a comment on here from an expert
that Microsoft cannot do anything about the issue, is not an answer.
