All the computers are getting a message displayed when connecting to our
server.

Workgroup is not accessible
The server is not configured for transactions

This error has suddenly happened, as if it was a virus or something. I can
find one anywhere.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Damien

quoted from http://www.ChicagoTech.net
"...not available. The server is not configured for transactions"

Use "net share" command on the shared computer to check share status. If
there is not a share named "IPC$" in the share list, use "net share ipc$"
command to create it.

The error seems to be at the workstation end. I formatted my server and
reinstall W2000 server and I still get the error "The server is not
configured for transactions"

Strange.

I only use the W2000 server for sharing folders. Nothing more than that.
