After an unsucceful attempt ar setting up VPN RAS, I have
removed it from my server roles. Now not a single machine
can browse the network. I get the following errors

"Homeoffice is not available"
"The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently
avaiable."

Is workgroup and domain used synonymously?

The domain controller is the Master Browser but is not
responding to queries. I can forward data captured by
ethereal network analyzer if it helps?

I can map all my devices using explorer or with the net
use command.

Network usability & performance has also dropped. DNS
responds to queries correctly and DHCP hand out the right
information.

Where do I start to look to fix this issue?
