Not able to access PC

i am able to ping the PC in my local network but i am not able to
access it. can anyone help me

This is most likely a software firewall.

You should try posting to the microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web
newsgroup. This newsgroup supports Microsoft's Broadband Networking
hardware and software only.
