norton internet security 2005...

having read this group offen over the last year.
im very much aware that many uses had the same problems that i have.

wireless connected laptop can access the internet wirelessly but cannot file
share between home pc's.
this always seemed to point to nortin internet security.
could never actually get to the bottom of it, i just got used to having no
file sharing via wireless.

anyway due to subscription lapse recently.
i upgraded to norton internet security 2005 this week. (from 2004 version)
and thankfully now all works fine.

my two pc's one desktop and one laptop can talk to each other via my
external linksys wag54g router.
all connections seem to work well.

I love it when things work.
I do believe the suggestion to install firewalls after network setup
is broached in several threads, but keeps getting muddied by
firestorms over the suggestion of removing firewalls.
