Is normal a VPN client gateway is the IP of the client ?

Hi

Is normal a VPN client gateway is the IP of the client ? The gatewaay is not
suposed to be the VPN server IP ?

Hi,

Yes this is normal. A VPN is a PPP (point to point) connection so the
gateway address is the client's VPN interface IP address.

As Marc said, this is the normal setup. In effect, the default gateway is
the VPN server. The "received" IP is the client end of the PPP/PPTP
connection, and the other end is at the server.

See KB 254231 for more details on this, and why in W2k you should use
the client end IP address to refer to the link.
