none connectivity

Trying to get a Toshiba Satelite Notebook with Vista Home Premium
connected to a Linksys WAG54G V3.0 device without any luck.
Several XP Home Edition Notebooks have worked successfully accessing
the Internet etc for many months in this setup, the Notebook
identifies the WiFi device and correct SSID, but will not connect.
When I look at the properties of the WiFi connection in Manage
Connections a message says " this is a hidden network or you have
incorrect settings for this connection " this I don't understand.

Here is the setup details in the WAG54G
SSID - set to Broadcast
Security - WPA-PSK with a password length of 11 characters
Channel - 11
Access - allow all
Linksys tell me that the WAG54G is compatible with Vista.

So any help from knowledgeable folks would be appreciated

Try first with the Wireless security Off in the Wireless Router.

Jack thanks for the link to the MS article, I will try the registry
hack, yes I always setup Wi-Fi connections with no security set
initially just in case there are problems such as this.
But I have never seen the "hidden network" msg before, so I am
wondering if this is a Vista thing and some setting[s] are amiss
somewhere ?. What are your thoughts.

Problem has been fixed, by updating the Atheros Wi-Fi drivers.
Which is surprising considering this is a new Notebook shouldn't
they just work out of the box ?.
