No wireless connection on startup

I was hoping anyone could provide a solution for the following problem: I
recently bought a Sitecom wireless broadband router including an USB dongle
for WI-FI reception. When I plug in the USB dongle after XP (home SP2)
starts up, it is recognized and I can surf without problems. But if I shut
down my laptop (Dell Inspiron 5100) and start up again, the connection is
only restored after I pull out and plug in the dongle again.

Does anyone have any idea how I could have Windows 'see' the wireless link
to internet through this USB device directly after startup? Thanks a lot in
advance for any suggestions,

Roy, Amsterdam
