No wireless access to shared printer or files from laptop

Hi,
I have a main home computer connected to a cable modem and a linksys
wireless router, and our printer. My laptop used to be able to connect to
the main computer's shared documents folder and the printer using the
wireless connection, but since we updated the XP SP2 files, it no longer
works. We've tried running the connection wizards and such, but the only
connection that the laptop shows is "linksys" remote, and not the main
computer name or printer name. Please let me know if there is something I
can try. Thanks.

You need to create File and Printer sharing exceptions in Windows
Firewall.

Control Panel, Security center, Windows Firewall (you need to scroll
down)
The middle tab is for exceptions and look for File & Printer Sharing is
ticked.
