No network available problem

I have Netgear wireless router WGR614v4 using cable modem. The desktop is
connected by LAN and my daughter's laptop with a Netgear 802.11g WG511
wireless card. We do not share anything between the computers only the
internet. It has been working fine since sometime in June. All of a sudden
her laptop will not connect or even find the router. Says no network
available. All the lights on the router are lit. The amber light blinks on
her card while it's scanning for an available network. I
uninstalled/reinstalled her card and software. The adapter is recognized in
System Props. Rechecked that the SSIDs were the same and that I had the
correct mac address in the router (Even tried allowing anyone to connect.) I
did an AV scan and it's clean. Am I missing something? Her Laptop is a
Gateway, running XP Home.
SHE would greatly appreciate any help as this ole 800 MHz machine of mine is
way to slow for her <G>

Call Netgear and they can help you to check out the WG511.

It may just have died!

Thank you, I did just that and the card *is* dead. They are replacing it.
Thanks again.
