Hi,

i have a problem with my lan connections on Windows 2003
Server (Small Business Edition).

The network cards are visibel and activated in the device
manager (no errors or irq conflicts).
When the server is booting and the network cables are
connected to the switch the server has no network
connections!!! In the task manager the process "wmi*.exe"
is running about 100 times!!
But when i start the server without the connected network
cables, i get the two monitor in the system tray, and i
have my two lan connections. Now i can connect the network
cables to the switch and everything is normal and works
fine. So i can´t imagine that it is a virus or somthing
like that.

No to the System specs. The Mainboard is a Tyan S2880GNR
with two onboard Gigabit LAN ports (Boradcom BCM5704C), OS
Windows 2003 Server Small Business Edition.

Can anyone help me with this problem??
Thanks for your answers.

cu

Cables? ...more than one?

Switch?...only one?

Why are you running more than one nic and pluging them all into one switch?

Thank you for your answer. But I solved the problem.
I updated the network card drivers and everything is
running now.
