I think I have eliminated the router and the win2000 machine. I installed
the adsl modem direct into the XP machine and it still doesn't work after
changing the settings.
I think it could be the DNS server somewhere. I get an IP address for the
dns server of 81.27.64.22 which I can't ping whether through this old modem
I've reverted to or the ADSL one I normally use.
Using this old modem I get the former DNS IP along with one of 4.2.2.1 which
I can. Does anybody know what the 81.etc IP address is all about?
Still confused...
