No Default Gateway

for some reason, my Suse 9.1 system has stopped setting up a default
gateway. In Yast, it's setup correctly. I can't seem to find the source
of the problem.

Setting it manually with the route command works, but this is a little
tedious.

I think it may have something to do with an ill tempered DHCP client, but I
can't isolate the source.

Has anyone seen this... any help, pls?

gracias,

~D
