My sister dropped AOL yesterday, switching to Earthlink broadband. That
seemed to open a Pandora's box.
First, her Linksys wireless "b" router wouldn't find an IP address. She
wanted to upgrade to "g" and I had her go get the D-Link DWL-G624 since it's
on sale, I have it and I could help her install it even though I'm 1000
miles away.
She installed the Dlink but still the same problem: no IP address. Hooked
directly to the router with an ethernet cable my sister can IM using AIM and
she can log onto AOL, which she has kept as "bring your own ISP" but she
can't use the external Internet Explorer or Netscape. We haven't tried to
establish a connection with the router via wireless client yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
