no browser when connected?

Just configed dialup connection in SuSE 8.1pro. KInternet connects but
browser does not come up. Found others w/ similar prob but no
solutions for an idiot like me. Tried several configs w/ no results.
Hangup is only a few mins after connection even tho set @300sec; also
tried 0 for idle time.Here's log of best attempt:

I don't use SuSE, so I am not sure about the exact config files
locations, but check the PPPOE_TIMEOUT variable in ifcfg-ppp0. Its value
should be around 4 times that of LCP_INTERVAL. I use ADSL modem, and
this was causing a problem. Not sure if this will solve yours, but give
it a shot.
