My laptop (Emachine 9150?) shows that it has a signal from the wireless
and/or from the LAN connection. The problem is that it never acquires an IP
address so even though the connection is seemingly there no internet access
is available. I have tried disabling the wireless as well as the LAN
connection with no luck. I also tried
Start>Run>cmd [enter]
netsh winsock reset catalog [enter]
but it did not seem to have any effect. This just started happening a few
days ago. I used to have no problem accessing the internet through my router
and I don’t think I changed any of the settings on the computer(s).
Can anyone please help me with this problem?
