NLB unicast network options

I have to NLB systems running in unicast

I would like to include an additional nic per host for inter-host
communications.

From a physical perspective how do I setup the additional non-cluster nics?

A cross over cable, a dedicated vlan, or a dedicated switch

I’m assuming that if I place the additional nic on the same subnet as the
cluster nics I will run into problems

Thank you,

John

Hello,

Using crossover cable causes load balancing not to work

Thanks this is a great document.

The cross over cable is for the non-cluster interfaces.

Should I use a dedicated vlan or dedicated switch for inter-host
communication
