I have two servers running Windows Server 2003 (Standard
Edition) in an NLB cluster. We have port 80 load balanced.
The web site is on this port and uses the Default App Pool.

The Default App Pool fell over on one box so that server
was not serving pages yet it still appeared in the nlb
cluster. Is this to be as expected? Does the nlb not check
the availability of the servers as to be able to load
balance?

There is a Windows newsgroup for clustering where you may want to post this
also. I have not used NLB in a bit but I believe the server should still
show even if it is not active though NLB should be directing all traffic to
the remaining working servers. --- Steve
