NLB port rule question

So here's an odd question. Lets say I have an NLB cluster hosting an OWA
front-end. I create 2 port rules for my 80 and 443 traffic to be set up with
single affinity, etc. and I forget to add a rule for port 25.

What will the impact be if I forget to add this port rule? Presently we have
an NLB cluster set up this way and I can telnet to 25 on the VIP with no
issues. There really aren't any major issues however it works and I'm not
sure why...

Any ideas??
