I set up a two node nlb cluster for a website (www.xxxx.com).
Server A: IIS6 + DNS (master for domain xxxx.com) - IP: 10.10.10.1
Server B: IIS6 + DNS (secondary) - IP: 10.10.10.2
Cluster IP: 10.10.10.200

1) Is it necesary to the "www" host entry in DNS for the cluster IP?
- (A) www 10.10.10.200

2) Can I create a NLB rule for the DNS server?

3) What about DHCP?

Thanks a lot,
Kirsten

I found the answer:

"Network Load Balancing does not support dynamic Domain Name System (DNS)
resolution, where the name of the cluster is automatically registered by the
host when the host starts. This functionality must be disabled on the
Network Load Balancing interface for both DNS and Windows Internet Name
Service (WINS); otherwise, each host's computer name will be registered with
the cluster IP address. When using Network Load Balancing with DNS, you will
need to directly configure the DNS server to register the name"
