NISTNet & kernel 2.6

Has anyone had any success running NISTNet
(http://snad.ncsl.nist.gov/itg/nistnet/) on a 2.6 kernel or should I
acknowledge my mistake and downgrade to something that it is known to
work with?

Use netem instead see http://developer.osdl.org/shemminger/netem
