NIS Error and Windows Emulation

Running NIS getting this error on clients. do_ypcall: clnt_call: RPC: unable
to send; errno=Netowrk is unreachable. also when running yppasswd: yppasswdd
is not running on NIS master host. (it is running on NIS Server). And one
more thing. im looking to run a virtual machine that i can install win98
into besides wine.

any help is appreciated
