Is there anyway to override NIS User UID and GID using NIS compat mode
configuration.

i.e. I need to define a specific UID and GID on my NIS client
/etc/passwd file like,

+thenral::3004:2500:::

This user(thenral) shd take UID as 3004 and GID as 2500 (How to achieve
this???)

I am using Redhat Linux 9.0 client and HP-UX NIS server
