Hello Ari,

Check the Dell website for broadcom teaming software. This gives you the
option to use one ip address in your LAN where you are connected and configure
both NIC's, either for failover or loadbalancing. What you are trying to
achive will not be possible. Teaming normally has only the above described
options. So effective you have one ip address only.

i'm using the broadcom software and it has an option to create vlan's so i
guess it is possible in some way....

also if the virtual ip is the only one, dose that mean that i can remove the
ip's from the physical nic's?

Hello Ari,

I don't know the way broadcom handles it, we use HP and if we setup teaming
it's creates a new virtul NIC with new MAC and here you have to configure
the ip address. So if teaming is enabled the physical NIC configuration will
be kicked out. But to be sure about the Broadcom teaming configuration i
suggest you post to DELL NG's.
