NIC settings from server to router

I think I licked most of the problems of my previous post. But now what
settings do I put into the single server NIC. The setup is as follows: 2K3
server to Netgear FVS 318 router to a cable modem with a static IP. The FVS
318 is setup for a vpn connection between two buildings.

we need more information to help. do you have DHCP and internal DNS?

Hi Robert,

I was able to configure the server network card. But now the server does not show up in active directory I can see other clients. I have checked DNS, DHCP, Wins, etc. Clients can log into the domain and surf the internet. I pinged the server's ip address with no reply form a client.

The strange thing is that when I go into DHCP it shows that it is not running. When I click DHCP it reverts to Active mode. The clients are receiving a valid IP address from the server.
