Hi,

i've just installed 2k3 server std with 2 nic and i have
a little problem.
here is my nic config :

nic1 : 199.84.6.25 - 255.255.255.0, dns 199.84.6.22
nic2: 172.25.1.3 - 255.255.255.0
no default gateway for both.

The problem is the following:
if i ping an ip adress over both netowrk, it work,
if i ping a name(netbios or dns name) it do not work, but
if i disable nic2 and i reboot, then i can ping anything
i want with nic1 till i enable nic2. With windows 2000
it was working perfectly, but i have to make it work on
2k3, anybody can help me with this would be really
appreciate.

Thank

JF

Possibly a binding order issue. Right click My Network Places and select
Properties. Click Advanced/Advanced Settings. In the Connections windows
move the connection which corresponds to NIC 1 to the top of the list.
