I just ran into this problem, and am wondering if anyone else
has heard/seen anything of it.

I am have exported a share properly according to various blogs
and the step by step instructions from Technet, and am able to access it
from XP, Windows server 2000, and Windows Server 2003 R2. However, when
I try to mount it from a Solaris and Linux box I get the following:

"mount: zeus:/windowsshare: can't read superblock"

NFS client, server, and port 111 (for portmap) are open in
Windows Firewall (though I've had this happen with Windows Firewall
turned off). Because I have Active Directory still running on Windows
Server 2000, I don't have user mapping tied to it (and User Mapping
isn't supported anymore in 2008, from what I've read), so I've created a
local user on the WS2008 machine and the linux box. Same issue.

Has anyone here had success with mounting a WS2008 share from a
linux box over NFS? I'd really like to avoid resorting to Samba.

BL.
