NFS issues: errors when reading newly-created files

Hi,

I'm having a strange NFS issue with a RedHat 7.3 client and a Quantum
SNAP server. I'm new to NFS so I don't know if this is a bug on the
server end of things or a general NFS issue.

I'm unable to read some newly-created files on the NFS share.
Attempting to access a new file for the first time via some standard
commands such as 'cat', 'cut', or 'vi' results in an input/output
error. The file can be read the second time, however. It's always
the first access attempt that fails. This only happens to certain
files, but happens consistently on the files that are affected.

Has anyone by chance seen something like this before?
