Hello,
I have a RH 7.2 workstation that is nfs mounting some directories. It works fine
under kernel 2.4.7. However, If I switch to kernel 2.4.20-xfs (the stock 2.4.20,
with Sun's XFS patch), then my NFS writes become very slow -- approx 10 seconds
to copy 1MB to the nfs file system. Reads are unaffected.
I'm assuming this has something to do with the nfs sync/async options. I've
tried putting the async option in /etc/fstab to no avail.
While I'm sure I can dig through the kernel myself and figure out what is going
wrong, I was hoping somebody just "knew" what the problem was....
Thanks,
Scott
