Has anyone had problems with newshosting.com this weekend? I'll have
to stop my monthly payment if they don't pick up - does anyone know a
UK based binary service please?
My golden rule was never to subscribe to something that is overseas
and has no phone number listed!

I think my problem may be plusnet not newshosting, although I am
nowhere near plusnet's "throttling threshold" that they set for ones
they term "greedy" binary downloaders. Has anyone else found plusnet
slow lately, even getting headers takes forever, but only with binary
groups

Plus Net has ceased binary newsgroup access. They no longer provide
this service just a text news service.

See here:

Thanks

If you re-read the guy's post you'll see he is questioning whether there
is a problem with newshosting.com or whether it is something within the
Plus.Net network which is slowing down the traffic. It will hardly be
news to him about the withdrawal of binary groups! Peter M.
