My iPAQ5550 "connects" to WLAN through a Belkin F5D6130 access point
but I cannot active sync or browse.

Initially I want to set thing up without any encryption or
authorisation (if thats possible) just to get it working.

However I have noted that Windows XP Prof has a setting in Connection
properties "enable network access control using IEEE 802.1x" then it
mentions "smart card or certificates" There is nothing in the ipaq or
Belkin manuals mentioning this function.

Please advise

Beemer

This should run OK

Test with all encryption and MAC filtering off. Check Activestink setting
Ethernet blah blah blah RAS are ticked (file connection settings). It
sometimes takes a few goes to initiate the connection which need to be from
the IPAQ but it does run. I use it every day.

Good luck

J
