Hi I have a dell inspiron 1100 and i want to setup a wireless network for my
notebook to access my wired desktops (share files and internet).
i have a wired network at the moment via a switch. i share the internet
using ICS on the main computer.
i am thinking about getting a netgear wireless access point WG602 and a
wireless notebook card Netgear WG511.
is this all the gear i need?
do i just plug the WAP into the switch and configure from the notebook?
is there anything else i need to know?
will this setup allow me to share files as well as internet?
are these netgear products good choices for what i want?
1 last thing... my main computers are about 20-30m away from the furthest
place i will use my notebook wirelessly. this is thru a few walls (down the
hallway around the corner). will the gear be good enough for this?
