I just bought this unit so I still have the option of returning it. I
updated the firmware to 1.05 but I still drop my connection about
every 30 minutes, but my hardwired PC is more stable, about every hour
or so.

Is this normal for wireless to do this? Anyone hazard to guess why
this is happening? Would changing "channels" help?

Thanks

Not sure without more info. I have had to call D-Link tech support at least
three times in the past. Only waited for a few minutes and they have always
solved the problem.

Firmware 1.05 is famous for these dropouts. Switch to 1.03 and see if that
helps. A better place to get help is Broadbandreports.com forum regarding
dlink. http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/dlink
