I am currently on cable but am moving to a new house that does have
broadband.

My brother lives 1.5 km away and has cable, he runs a router and home
network.

My question what equipment is needed to access his router?
Does he need a wireless router or could I use one of those Ethernet to
wireless adapters "DWL-810+" at his end. i.e plug this into his router. Of
course I would have the same at my end with the appropriate aerial.

Any websites or links appreciated.

phil....

You need a wireless ethernet bridge with external directional aerials, but
it will only work if there is a clear line of sight between the houses.
Regards,
Martin
