First- I don't really know what I am doing
second I use ICS instead of nat due to reason 1
third- if there is a better group to ask in please let me know

my problem is on server 2003 I can get the 2 xp computers on the home lan to
make the server dial the modem to connect w/o problems. what I can't get is
how to make server disconnect after client (usually only 1 at a time due to
bandwidth) closes IE or outlook. I have all 3 computers set to disconnect
after 3 minutes of inactivity, but server still remains connected. any
hints, ideas, or directions would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Just a guess: The 2003 Server keeps using the connection enough that it's
not considered "inactive". There are a lot of services that will try to
make use of an Internet connection if one is available, even if you're not
running IE.
