I hope someone could help me out
I would like my home network 2 computers
to pass through a linux firewall to a router to the net
but Im struggling a bit.

internet
¦
adsl router/modem 81.xx.xx.xx./10.0.0.2
¦
linux firewall 10.0.0.5
¦
lan 10.0.0.8 /10.0.0.10

How do I route traffic?? the router is the gateway??
the gateway is 10.0.0.2 but what about 10.0.0.5??
BTW the router is a very basic one http://www.cazart.plus.com/conexant/
or similar the 2 pc`s are windows
I hope this makes some sense
many thanks........

No pint of hiding your IP address, as it comes up here...

I assume by "lan" you mean the ip addresses of the two PCs to route via
the linux box so i will assume the following

The router connected to the Internet had a dhcp ip address allocated of
81.xxx.xxx.xxx, and and lan ip address of 10.0.0.2

The linux box has one interface which has ip addresss 10.0.0.5
and the two pc have the addresses 10.0.0.8 and 10.0.0.10

set the routes up as follows

the linix box has a default route of 10.0.0.2 (/etc/defaultroute)
the two pc have a gateway of 10.0.0.5

Hope this helps
Andrew
