Hi,
Ordered broadband on Monday with V21 expecting 7-10 days wait, today my
account had been changed to ADSL and said active, dial up wouldn't work.
Got modem today and cannot connect, ive installed the software, apparently
there is no dial tone, the modem has power but the link led isn't
illuminated.
Have V21 got it wrong, the order seemed to go through very quick, is there
some way I can test my line?
Any input appreciated.
Rick

Yup tried that, seems they only operate between 8am-8pm, I will try again
tomorrow.

Sounds like BT haven't yet changed the line, call them and ask - you may
just get an answer.

You may find this useful in determining what progress is being made:
https://www.cs-server1.bt.com/hhway-...UM=YYYYYYYYYYY

- where the 'xxxs' are the a/c no. on your BT bill (2 letters, 8 digits)
and the 'yyys' your phone no. with area code.

Then click on the order no., and you'll get another screen of info.

Phoned BT and they had no record of any order being placed, today V21
admitted their mistake and have resubmitted the order and in the meantime
turned my dialup back on.
Oh hum.

That stopped working a little while ago (weeks, I think), unfortunately.
