I am a little confused with all the different wireless products available
and what I really need! At present I have a D-Link DCS-1000 camera hooked up
to a D-Link 810+ Bridge. I want to be able to access this camera thru the
internet. The camera and bridge need to communicate to a computer (hooked up
to the internet with a satelite connection).
Can I use an Access Point (Dwl 900AP) to get the computer and bridge to talk
to each other, or do I need a router, or would a second bridge be needed?
Once the computer and camera are communicating I believe I can use ICS or
Sygate or Winproxy on the computer (XP Pro) to allow internet access to
camera (would
need to set up camera as a virtual server). Unfortunaltely the satelite link
is through a USB modem so the computer will need to be used as a gateway,
unless there are routers that the satelite modem can hook up to directly.
Am I on the right track here??
Thanks
P.S. Sorry if this posts multiple times, but having trouble with news
