new to wireless help

I've just got a WL1200 to connect my laptop to my NTL cable modem and then
the web (just need wireless internet) but I can't get it to work it says I'm
connected and the lights flash but all I get is page can not be displayed
do I need to bye any think more to make it work or have I just got the wrong
thing or is it set up wrong?
