new setup of smtp and imap

I want to setup smtp and imap servers on my linux system. I currently
have exim installed as my smtp server.

Any recommendations on which mail servers to go with? exim was pretty
easy to setup, but some people recomend postfix. also, configuring the
imap servers with exim seems confusing with my debian installation.

I have used postfix in Mandrake and I found all what I needed
