In this case, you should not join the web server to the domain. The easy way to setup DMZ is adding another router behind the router connecting to the Internet. Put the web server behind the first router and put the DC in the second router. This link may have more information you need to know.

I am a newbie to server so thanks in advance. I have a server running 2003
and exchange server. It also handles our database program. There are 15
people on the network now possibly growing to 25. We are looking to host
a few websites and want to add a second server the powers that be want to
keep the 2 servers seperate for fear someone will get our corporate info by
hacking the website. What is the best way to do this, i started reading about
dnz and not sure how to accomplish that. is it safe to join the domain with
the second server or is it better to keep them apart
