Hi, everyone,

I have a box NT4.0 server directly to connect SURECOM 100/10 Switch 16 port
with 2 mini 8 port witch hubs (B) & (C). The Windows 2003 Server Standard is
connected with C hub. If I have successfully upgraded Windows 2003 Server as
PDC, the NT Server 4.0 is as BDC.

Is it neccessary to change the W2K3 connecting to SURECOM 100/10 in order to
increase network performance and monitor the network activity ??

I have any idea to change or not change because someone says that the W2K3
Server directly connect 16 port is better than mini 8 port.

Please help

Thanks
Jimmy

None of that really means anything. The only thing is an obvious one and
that is that a 100/10 switch is going to be more efficient than a
hub,...even if the hub is 100/10. The OS running on the machines is
irrelevant. In a small network you aren't even going to notice the
difference between 10 and 100mbps unless you are copying 100s and 100s of
megs of files from one machine to another all at one time.
