New Pipex Customer...

I've had my Pipex BB service activated today and I've been getting very poor
connection for a Upto 8Meg service. It says I'm connected at 5 Meg but its
not loading up at all...

I am using a D-Link DSL-G604T ADSL Modem/ Wireless Router.

It was working OK with my Bulldog (Sorry, Bullshite) connection at 5 Meg...

I don't have a spare modem or know anyone who can lend me one.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Suggest you read a bit about DSL Max on www.adslguide.org

You'll see that it takes the exchange several days to determine the best
speed to use, and until then, you might find some speed restrictions for
data (not the link to the exchange) - stops transfers from exceeding the
more common 2000 kbps. So you may have plenty more days to wait. Peter
