I am shortly to have broadband and using a PCI NIC on my 98se, replacing 56k
PCI modem
Hopefully your answers wil be a simple Y or N.
Do I / can I remove the 56k PCI and uninstall the modem instances prior to
the install of the PCI NIC and the drivers associated with it.
Regards
Chris

Yes, and I would uninstall/disable the associated software in Device
Manager. If you have further issues, you should post to a regular
networking newsgroup supporting general networking questions, Chris. This
newsgroup support's Microsoft's Broadband Networking hardware and software
only. Welcome to a much faster connection!

Remember that without the old analog modem you won't be able to send or
receive a fax. If this is important to you, you will have to keep the modem
AND add a NIC.
