I've put together a mini Linux distribution for the Linksys wrt54g. It
includes basic tools such as syslog, telnetd, httpd (with cgi-bin support),
vi, mount, insmod, rmmod, top, grep, etc. It also includes nfs drivers and
snort.

The installation script runs under Linux or OSX. It completes in about 20
seconds and installs strictly to the ram disk. If you mess anything up,
simply reset the box.

I have a page for the distribution here :

http://www.batbox.org/wrt54g-linux.html

Happy hacking, and thanks to everyone who has figured out how to install
software to the box.

Jim

Jim,

Just read your pages on this thing. This is way cool. Thank you for the
work done so far.

Using a hacked wrt54g as a portal for NoCat would be a great idea.
That's essentially what the Sputnik folks have been working on. Though
Sputnik's main focus is on a rather slick and much more robust AAA back-
end, they're using a hacked ActionTec AP as the CPE.

Hmmm...
